Cairo

I went here per the cairo bureau's Housam Ahmed. It is touristy (and touristed), but also really good. I went at about 10pm and it was still busy serving dinner - the surrounding area seems to be bustling all night long with kids and everybody. They have kind of a weird jungle decor thing going on including live birds, frogs, turtles, fish that as far as I can tell are not on the menu. I had good foul and stuffed pigeon, which was tasty but a little difficult to manage.

It is a couple of blocks away from midan talaat harb, downtown (they have a storefront on Talaat Harb if you are looking for it from a cab, but the actual sit-down restaurant entrance is on a sidestreet. Which your cab driver will also certainly know).
