According to their website this spot has been voted "Best Mexican" food in Denver in numerous publications. This is confirmed by CNN Sat Truck Operator Marty Vargas. He claims Jack-N-Grill is the best restaurant in Denver...well, at least it's his favorite. It has a New Mexican/American menu and features a Juarez burger that borders on obscene- a full 10oz patty of fresh ground chuck, ham, hot-dog, fresh green chili, cheese, guacamole and mayo($8). But wait, there's more. You can order the Grande Breakfast Burrito, a massive five pound burrito with plenty of grilled potatoes, eight eggs, one pound of ham, lots of cheese, onions and your choice of chili.($12) If you finish it you get your picture on their wall! If you go into cardiac arrest there is a fire station across the street. To wash it down take advantage of their 64oz "jacked up" Margarita ($16)
In addition to the massive dishes you can order the usual mexican favorites such a tacos, tostadas, red and green chili, stuffed sopapillas and smothered burritos. All are offered in a variety of styles. They also have a wide variety of burgers, many with spanish accents.
The breakfast menu includes eggs, breakfast tacos and burritos pancakes and French toast. The salsa is amoung the best I've ever had and the meats are spiced just right. I ordered the Breakfast Tacos, four grilled soft corn tortillas with eggs, ham, green chili, onions, cheese and pico de gallo($6.49). The tortillas tasted homemade and were grilled to perfection. The eggs and other ingredients were fresh and plentiful. A very satisfying meal.
They offer indoor and patio seating. There is ample parking right next to the restaurant. The staff is knowledgeable and eager to please. You get real value for you money. I now agree with Marty.
